Camano Community and Senior Center

Welcome to the Camano Senior and Community Center

The Great Northwest Glass QUEST

Participating Stanwood and Camano businesses and organizations invite you to the Northwest's newest and best winter treasure hunt.  The goal is to receive a hand-blown, signed, dated, and numbered glass snowball.  Each snowball is a one-of-a-kind work of art created by Mark Ellinger, Stanwood glass-blower.  How do you participate?  "Clue Balls' bearing the sponsor's name will be concealed in Stanwood and on Camano Island. When found, 'clueballs; return to the sponsor's place of business to redeem your work of art!  Event takes place February 12 through February 28.  Beginning February 12th, visit local businesses and Visitor Information Centers for maps to sites participating in the 2010 QUEST!  Go to the website www.thegreatnwglassquest.com for more information.

The Camano Island Senior and Community Center is nestled among the trees on beautiful Camano Island, just 20 minutes from Interstate 5. As you drive into our lighted parking lot, you will notice our dramatic drive through entrance with beautiful stained glass doors designed by local artist, Jack Archibald. The Center was built in 2001, and resembles a mountain lodge with wood and rock accents. The Center is designed as a place where seniors and our community members get connected to services, programs, classes, and other members. The grounds around the Center are planted and maintained by our crew of Master Gardeners. The Center is an excellent location for any indoor or outdoor event.

The Center is the ideal place for seniors and others to go for meals, health related programs, educational opportunities, and numerous activities. Free wireless internet service is available throughout the building. The Center also has both large and small meeting spaces that can be used for special events like weddings, auctions, and parties. Our large meeting room, the Sundin Room, offers access to our terrace and amphitheatre area. The Center hosts many local events like the annual Camano Chamber of Commerce Chili and Chowder Cook-Off and our events like the Crab Fest, the Salmon BBQ, and the Collector Car Show.

So come and "Get Connected" at the Camano Senior and Community Center.
