Camano Center Trips
The Camano Center coordinates dozens of day trips every year. Join us as we shop, dine, enjoy great local events and activities, and make some wonderful memories. Get out and have some fun, and leave the driving and parking to us!
Trips are priced very reasonably, and member discounts apply. See below for our list of scheduled trips.
Wednesday, December 11 - Fairhaven & Trader Joe’s. Explore the unique shops in the picturesque Fairhaven District of Bellingham. (Don’t miss the tasting rooms at 'Drizzle' [olive oil & vinegar], and 'Old Fairhaven Wines'!) Lunch on your own ('Colophon Café' is great!). We’ll stop & shop a bit at 'Trader Joe's' before heading home. Transportation only for Center members is $17, non-members $22. Please pay by November 27. Saturday, December 14 – Holiday Parade of Lights Cruise, Seattle. Join the celebration aboard a beautifully appointed Waterways yacht among dozens of decorated boats in the annual Holiday Parade of Lights on Lake Union. Sip hot apple cider or a handcrafted winter cocktail and take in spectacular views of dazzling displays of lights. Your evening includes a relaxing cruise, a champagne toast upon boarding, and a delicious buffet of holiday favorites (Check out the Festive Dining menu online!). The joyful singing of carolers and live music will add to your enjoyment of this special time of year. Member price of $83 and non-member price of $91 includes transportation and the cruise. Thursday, December 19 – Seattle Center Winterfest. Winterfest offers festive, free, fun-filled entertainment. The Seattle Center Armory, restored to its original grandeur and dressed for the season, features the turn of the century Winter Train & Village, warm roasted nuts and other fine edibles. Outside, sparkling lights illuminate the center of Seattle Center. Watch the skaters at the Ice Rink in Fisher Pavilion and admire the Ice Sculptures while you’re there! Thursday, January 2 - S.A.M. (Seattle Art Museum) Last week for “Peru: Kingdoms of the Sun and the Moon” http://www.seattleartmuseum.org/peru/ Last week of this glorious exhibit – don’t miss it! Discover the mysteries of Machu Picchu, treasures from royal tombs and archeological wonders. Over 100 works never before seen outside of Peru. Thursday, January 30 - Les Miserables – Village Theater – Everett Performing Arts Center. Join us for the 2:00 Matinee performance of the world’s longest running musical. From the comfort and intimacy of Village Theatre’s 500 seat house, you’ll be immersed in the streets of Paris as revolution and love play out their battles for those who dare to dream of something more. CSSA Trip Policy
General Information: Camano Center day trips are open to participants of all ages. Reservations may be made by phone, mail, or in person, and by cash, check, or VISA or MasterCard.
Minimum Participation: Most trips require a minimum of ten participants in order to cover our costs. Trips with less than ten paid participants by the cutoff date may be cancelled at our discretion.
Cutoff Dates: Unless otherwise stated, reservations must be paid 14 days prior to the departure date. Reservations made less than two weeks prior to the trip must be paid in full at the time of the reservation.
Ticketed Events: If the Center will be purchasing tickets as part of a trip package, tickets must be paid in full before they will be ordered.
Tipping: A tip may be collected for the driver. Participants are responsible for tipping at restaurants for their own meal.
Refunds: Trip payments are non-refundable. If a participant cancels after paying for a trip, a refund will not be issued unless the Center has a waiting list for that trip and secures payment from a replacement participant. If the Center cancels a trip, full refunds will be issued.
Do you have a group for whom you want to organize a day trip? Do you want to enjoy yourself without the fuss of driving or parking? Why not charter the Camano Center's bus, and leave the driving to us! The bus has a 14 person capacity. Charters include the services of one of our friendly, safe, and courteous drivers.
