Class Policy
You may register for class by phone, mail or by coming into the Center. We accept cash, check, VISA and MasterCard. Your reservation must be paid at the time of your reservation. Cancellations are refunded only if a replacement is found. The Center doesn't guaurantee that a replacement will be found.  If a class is cancelled by the Center a full refund will be issued.

Meet Our Instructor
Lynne Midyette has been teaching computer applications for over 12 years and is a certified Microsoft Office Master Instructor. She has taught for several companies including: Everett Community College, Skagit Valley College, Boeing, Versitas Corporation and several top-rated businesses in the greater Puget Sound area. Lynne lives on Camano Island and is looking forward to serving her community. She is known for her patience and kindness while she presents material in a down to earth way.


Intro to Computers (Level 1):  No longer stay in the dark when it comes to computers. Learn how to move around the computer, open and work in programs, and understand important terminology. Learn how to navigate and surf the internet.

Intro to MS Word 2007: This course is designed for those who are new to MS Word 2007 and want the basics on how to create professional documents and mailings. We will cover how to create, format, print, save and open documents. We will also cover mailing and envelopes. As time allows we will be able to cover clip art, tables, tips and tricks. Prerequisite: Intro to Computers or equivalent computer experience.

Digital Photography: This class will cover the basic functions of your new camera and then teach what to do with the pictures once you take them. Class will upload pictures to your computer in class, organize them into folders, manipulate and enhance photos, and discuss photo printing and sharing options. More subjects will be covered as time allows. Prerequisite: Introduction to Computers and the Internet or equivalent experience, a working camera with basic components installed such as batteries and memory cards if needed.

October 4-October 14 (Eight Hours)

Intro to Computers (Level 2): Now that you have the basics down, let’s practice what you have learned in this continued class. Dive into the Windows environment deeper by creating desktop shortcuts, work on more file management, practice effective internet techniques, and customized settings. Class will work on projects to refine what you have learned. Intro to Computers & the Internet Prerequisite Intro to Computers (Level 1) or equivalent computer knowledge.

October 5-October 12 (Four Hours)

Setting Up A Facebook Account: Class will show you how to set up a Facebook account including customizing your privacy and security options. Search for friends, post to your wall and navigate the Facebook world. Prerequisite: Introduction to Computers & the Internet or equivalent experience, must already have an individual email account login and password to access during class.
