Groups & Clubs
Volunteers and staff alike strive to make the Center a desirable place to visit and participate. But it takes more than Center volunteers and staff to keep the Center a pleasing place to visit. It takes a janitor to keep it clean and power and gas to keep it warm and lit. A $1.00 donation is suggested each time you participate in a scheduled activity at the Center. Your one dollar will help defray some of these costs. Thank you for your help and consideration. (This request does not apply to classes for which you have paid a registration fee or for any fundraising groups, such as the "Sewing Ladies".)
- AEROBICS: Meet with other seniors Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9am-9:45am, to work out to a senior oriented aerobics video tape.
- BOOK CLUB: 1st Wednesday of the month from 3-4pm. The reading list in the newsletter or call Onie Wege 387-5459.
- CREATIVE WRITING: Wednesdays from 10:00-12:00 pm On-going workshop, informal gathering. Facilitator, Jean Yassick.
- CURRENT EVENTS: Discussion group meets every Friday from 1-4 pm
- BRIDGE (Duplicate): Thursdays 12:30-4pm. Contact Myrna Corcoran 360-387-8840
- BRIDGE (Party): Mondays 12:30-4pm. Contact Barb & Derald Radtke 387-8536
- CAMANO JUNCTION: Our resident band plays for our more-or-less monthly dances
- CHESS CLUB: Meets Wednesdays at 1pm. Beginners welcome. Call Alan 387-3145 for more info.
- CLASSES: Classes are constantly changing. Click the Classes link (under Activities), see our Classes brochure, refer to the class listings in the current newsletter, or contact the Center for more information.
- CRIBBAGE: Mondays & Fridays from 12:30-3pm. Free lesson on your first visit. Don McLees 425-367-2209.
- CULINARY ART SOCIETY: 2nd Wednesday of the month from 6:30-8:30pm. Social time, demonstrations, cooking contests, and lots more. For Membership Information call Kirby Mitchell 360-387-3555
- DANCES: Regularly scheduled dances - see special events
- DOWN-TO-EARTH GARDENERS: 2nd Monday of the month at 10am at the Center. They share ideas and plants and have guest speakers. This wonderful group of gardeners also takes care of the gardens and grounds around the center. Newcomers welcome, call Lalee 387-3122
- DOMINOES : Tuesdays 1:00 p.m. Cotact Lois LaBonte 387-2804
- HAND CRAFTERS GROUP: 2nd and 4th Mondays 10am-2pm. They happily welcome new members, especially quilters and creative crafters.
- MAH JONGG: Wednesdays 9:30am-4pm.
- MEMORY CARE SUPPORT GROUP: 3rd Tuesday of each month, 2:00-3:30 PM. Contact Ginny Berube with questions at 360-387-6201

- RED HAT SOCIETY: There are two Chapters that meet at the center, at present only one is accepting new members. However, if you want to start another chapter call the Center for more information.
