BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS: (free) Monday-Friday 8am-4pm

DUMP DISCOUNT CARDS: Island County offers discount on charges at the dump to low income individuals. To be considered for this benefit, the average monthly income for a one person household must be under $1276, for a two person household the figure would be under $1745 per month. Call the Center for more information.

ENSURE or GLUCERNA: A liquid meal replacement for those unable to eat "standard fare" available, by donation, with a doctor's prescription. (We pay $25 for a case of 24 Ensure or $30 for a case of 24 Glucerna). Available Monday through Thursday 8 am-8 pm and Fridays from 8 am to 4 pm.. Call for more information.

AARP SAFE DRIVING: (formerly 55 Alive) is an 8 hour course sponsored by AARP and taught locally by Kris & Lee Clement. The cost of this two-part program is just $10 (payable to the instructor) and at completion of the course students are eligible for state mandated reductions in automobile insurance premiums. The course is offered approximately every 4 weeks at the Center or at the Mabana Fire Station. For more info call the Center 387-0222

FOOT CLINIC: Wednesday afternoons, by appointment. The service includes a foot soak, massage, pedicure, and a look for problems. The service is provided on a donation basis (CSSA pays Homewell Services $17 per client).

LUNCH: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at Noon, please be signed in by 11:45am. No reservation required except for holidays. (Meals fully prepared on site). Suggested donation: $3.00 for 60+, $5.00 under 60.

MEALS-ON-WHEELS: Hot and frozen meals delivered three days a week to homebound elderly on request. Call the Center for more information

MEDICAL EQUIPMENT: Wheelchairs, walkers, ccommodes, canes, toilet lifts, and bath seats lent at no cost for as long as needed. (We welcome donations, especially wheelchairs.)

SENIOR INFORMATION AND ASSISTANCE/CASE MANAGEMENT: Senior Information and Assistance (I&A) helps link people over 60 with the services and facts they need to stay independent. Case Management for the COPES and MPC programs is available.  Monday through Friday, 8 am-3 pm, call Ginny Berube at 387-6201 for more information or for an appointment.

TAX AIDES: AARP and the IRS work together to train volunteers to help others with their annual IRS tax return. This free service is offered from February through April 15th by appointment only.

VOLUNTEER CHORE PROGRAM: This program is made up of volunteers who provide essential transportation for medical appointments.

IS MEMORY LOSS AFFECTING YOUR LIFE? A support group every 3rd Tuesday of the month from 2 to 3:30 pm at the Camano Senior & Community Center.  This support group is for the persons experiencing memory loss and their caregiver, partner, family member or friend.
