Facility Rental

The Camano Center provides the ideal setting for weddings, receptions, dances and celebrations of all types.

There is on-site parking for 93 vehicles in the fully lit parking lot, with additional  parking available at neighboring Utsalady Elementary School. The dramatic drive-through covered entrance to the facility is both visually appealing and helps to protect visitors from the possibility of inclement weather.

Passing through the automated stained glass front doors, the welcoming lobby area features a river rock fireplace, an attractive seating area, with a ceramic tile floor. Adjacent to the lobby visitors will also find the library/hallway, which features a fine collection of books and several nooks with comfortable overstuffed chairs; a perfect place for reading or conversation.

The “SundinRoom” (50’ X 45’/2,250 sq.ft.), named for P.J. and Anna Sundin, a 1905 Camano Island Pioneer family,seats approximately 160 persons at twenty 30” X 96” banquet tables, with a maximum occupancy of 353.   Facility users sometimes  rent round tables but the capacity is then limited. The Sundin Room features a fireplace, maple dance floor, lots of windows, a variety of lighting options and provides access to the terrace and amphitheatre area.  Rentals of this room includes 20 banquet tables and 150 chairs.

The adjacent “Education Room” (37’ X 23’/851 sq.ft.) comfortably seats 48 persons at eight 30” X 96” tables banquet style with a maximum occupancy of 57 and features a residential type kitchen facility, lots of windows and access to the terrace and amphitheatre.

The landscaped grounds also provide a setting for many occasions: an inviting spot for a wedding, reception, concert or party. The multi-level amphitheatre faces the back entry of the Sundin Room and surrounds one side of the terrace. Just off the side of the terrace is a 3’ X 8’ river rock barbecue (charcoal). There is easy access from the commercial kitchen to this area.

A facility monitor will arrive and welcome you at your scheduled start time and will be in the building during your scheduled rental. This staff person is available to answer your questions about the building and will help you locate any needed items.

Both the full day rental and six hour rental includes monitor fees.  Janitorial services are charged at $20 an hour.  These fees are deducted from your security deposit of $500, with the balance refunded to you.

Any overage in allotted rental time, could result in additional hourly room and monitor charges of $15 per hour. Any room rented by the hour will be subject to both monitor and janitorial fees if outside our normal business hours.
